Skechers Scam will Pay $40 Million. Butt Tone Shoe Lawsuit


Skechers falsely advertised that its toning shoes helped people lose weight, tone muscle and get in shape, these claims that will now cost the company $40 million. Is this a scam or legit? The Federal Trade Commission announced that the company has agreed to the settlement on charges that it "deceived consumers by making unfounded claims" about its Shape-ups, Resistance Runner, Toners and Tone-ups lines of shoes. Consumers who bought the misclaimed shoes are entitled to cash refunds.
Reebok agreed to pay $25 million to settle a lawsuit charges it misled consumers with false claims about EasyTone walking shoes and RunTone running shoes.
